DAS Gen 1 Limbs?
«

I just bought a GEN 1 DAS bow. I see where 3rivers sell bushings to convert ILF limbs to DAS. Has any body done this? Is it very difficult?
Thanks
Gil

Not difficult at all. Get a bolt that will fit the ILF threads of the bushing in the limbs, set limb down with a space under for the bushing to come out and tap screw lightly with hammer, sometimes they will just push out with fingers. Pop in new bushings, sometimes require tapping with rubber mallet. Just go slow and don't beat on it.

Yep, it takes longer to tell you how to do it than it takes to actually swap them out. Just go slow, and tap them out as katman described.

That is great. I asked questions about the DAS in the other thread and someone offered me a DAS GEN 1. I wanted one of these for a long time.
I had several Hoyt Excel risers with Dryad Epic limbs. I would like to set of Dryad Epic limbs for this riser.
Thanks again

I would use a vise or some kind of press. I use a bolt screwed into bushing and a block of wood with a hole drilled out just a little bigger than the bushing.

Has any one used the bushings that 3rivers sells with Dryad limbs? If so was any drilling or sanding required in the limb holes to get the bushing to fit?
Thanks

Call Dryad and get a set of theirs. I had a pair of their longbow limbs and the bushing was able to be pushed out by hand. I assumed it was their bushing as got the limbs used.
I would probably sand the bushing to fit rather than making the hole bigger. Also when you put you limbs on make sure there is no contact at the limb butt where it is closest to the riser. Some limbs need sanding. Contact can damage your limb.

I sent them an email to see if they could make a pair of ACS RC limbs with the DAS bushing.
CCH from your post it sounds like they do have DAS bushings for their bows. If they do, do you know if they sell them.
Thanks

I didn't buy from them but I am sure they will let you know. They do make a cool threaded collar for the limb bolt that won't rattle. Ask about it when you talk to them. They are a great company I am sure they can help.
