How long do vaneers need to be?
« on: June 25, 2016, 11:17:00 AM »
I'm looking for spalted wood veneers (want it to look something like the old tree    :help:    know what size (length /width) to make 60-62 inch recurve limbs?
Can shorter veneers be spliced together?
As we get older our bow weight goes down and our body weight goes up, One of Lifes little jokes.

You should ask this question on the Bowyer's Bench.

One piece bow or three will factor in as well.

I have asked that question to the bowyer that I am interested in having build me a bow.  They know exactly how long they want them to be.

But if you're making your own bow...    :dunno:
Life is a whole lot easier when you just plow around the stump.
