Javaman WOW

I stopped at Greg's shop today. Wow. I shot an Elkhart , Falcon and some names I can't pronounce. What an artist he is. I'm on the list but I feel pressure to choose a wood (s). They all have a very smooth draw, very light in the hand. I'm in deep now. Multiple bows, who'd a thunk it.

It is too late. So much for you electricians watching out for us dumb carpenters. For not telling me I might need to borrow your couch soon after I take delivery.

Nice. Well, since you are deciding on woods, which model did you select, and why?

I think I'm going with the Falcon XL although that might change. Very smooth out to my 31" draw. The model he had on the rack was gripped perfect. I also like his take down and how it works. But I liked the Elkheart as well. I'm in line so I have a little time. He had some nice maple in there also. I'm thinking of having woods indigenous to my area might be cool.

I am on the list as well. I am leaning toward a 60" falcon to be similar to my shrew safari, but I have a used 56" TD Elkheart on the way that may make me change my mind and opt fora 58" Elkheart, but we will see. I only draw 29.5".

That's very nice. He had a 58" Elkheart there. The Falcon was 60" I liked the grip better.

Just picked up a used Elkheart myself that just happened to be what I was in line to order - 56", 50# @ 28 and overall dark hue (for ground blind use) of tamo ash veneers. A beauty of a shooter. Plan on getting back in line again in the near future for a take down.

I am also on his list and should be getting to me in the next couple of months. I am getting his Tanjavur 60" 50@28", I shot one late last year and what a shooter it was, can't wait.

Greg is an artist, builds a great bow, seen a couple in person, quality is as good as it gets and he's a genuinely good guy. Haven't met Greg in person but hope to some day. I've had a couple business dealings with him and some freely shared bow building advice. Can't go wrong with a Javaman bow.

On the list as well, still haven't decided on wood choice. Pretty excited but have awhile yet. Some pics may help on wood choice

My son picked up a Elkhart from Gregg this past winter. It has become his favorite bow over all his others. The craftsmanship is awesome and the bow is a real joy to shoot.
