Anyone near Monterey, CA?
« on: July 10, 2016, 07:42:00 PM »
We will be here for about a year, while my wife attends NPS, and we are looking for some local info about hunting, 3D shoots, and archery shops. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Been in your great gun club.  Know how addresses change every 3 years. Congrats to your bride, tough screen to get NPS,
The Longbow Safari was 4July in Petaluma, and you would have met all manner of longbow characters.  There will be others chiming in as the trad community is strong there

Do a search for Salinas bowmen. Use to be some great people and range. A short drive from Monterey.

There used to be pig hunting at Ft. Hunter Liggett.  Probably still is, but I haven't been there in a few years.  There are also pig hunting opportunities on various private farms and ranches up and down the central valley, particularly at one very large semi public/private ranch called Tejon Ranch located near the intersection of Hwys 5 and 99.
