Looks ike if you have an iPhone 6s you can read trail cam photos with this?http://www.apple.com/shop/product/MJYT2AM/A/lightning-to-sd-card-camera-reader

Also, my old macbook pro is dying. Anyone use an iPad to view trail cam photos?

Your phone has to be. Usb enabled for these to work. Mine unfortunately isn't

One end plugs into the charging port and it works great. I can delete, save, or send using it in the woods. When first used it will ask to download an app for it to run on called "Photofast". I have used it on my IPhone 6 and my friends IPad.

I should explain more before somebody buys one and uses fowl language trying to get it to work. You must download the correct app, I-flash Drive HD, not I-Flash Drive one, here is the link..    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/i-flashdrive-hd/id525386291?mt=8
Also your SD cards must be formatted in Fat32 for your Apple device to read it. This can be done from your computer.
Hope I'm not high jacking this thread, just trying to help.

Tedd, look at the reviews, I will pass. I am using an android tablet(free with last phone upgrade) with a usb port with a usb/card reader and allows viewing without downloading the whole card to the unit. While apple makes nice products they don't work outside apple very well  by design I think. Also 198 questions and no answers, hmm.

I just carry a small digital camera with me that I've had for years to view in the field. Only to set it up and check it's taking what I want to.

Other then that I always have several extra cards, just swap them out and get the heck out is my routine.

Ordered the bone view. I hope it works. The app was easy enough to get.

Ken,
What viewer do you have? Does it view SD card from multiple brands of cameras?

Thanks,

I do the same as Tracey. Carry an old camera delete what I don't want then download them to dated files.

I got one for my iPhone,  stood out in the bugs today, no room on my phone  for 3600 pictures of leaves.  Thumbnails so small can't  see them on the phone.  Going back to just swapping  cards!

A year ago I bought the $29 Apple SD (to Lightning) card reader for my iPhone 5S. It didn't work because my phone's software wouldn't support the device. Since that time Apple has updated the ios software and my (previously wasted) $29 reader works perfectly now. I can upload pics from SD to my iPhone instantly, then download them to a pc....and my iPad gets all of them automatically via iCloud.

i have become an iSportsman and i'M liking it.  ;)

Unfortunately my cuddeback puts its pictures in folders and my camera doesn't have the ability to open folders. I ended up buying a small laptop for $50 and take it with.

I bought an adapter so my camera could use the micro SD card ($15 for 2) and bought a kindle fire for a viewer ($50).
