I liked velcro on my widow. However, I like Super pad for everything else. Super pad is awesome, tough, and very thin... So it allows the bow/arrow to do what shes made to do. Mike from maddog bows opened my eyes to that fact..

When I had Widows I used Velcro, I liked Seal skin but it's just tuff to get quality stuff now. I use Velcro on everything......it works and it's cheap.

I don't own a Black Widow, but if I did, it would have Velcro on the shelf just like every other bow I have ever owned!

On my Widow PLX longbow I prefer a thin calf hair side plate/rest that Widow sells or a thin leather rest.

Velcro is fine and certainly easy to get/work with.  I have an old pair of red wing boots that I cut up. Nice leather and makes very good rests. However, my favorite is Seal Skin, in fact I'm looking for a piece now for a new bow recently purchased. I'm not saying Seal Skin is superior to the other materials, I've just used it for years and it's cool to look at.

Velcro easy on easy off. Doesn't mess up the finish.

I hate velcro.
The loops will snag any little sharp spot in the leading edge of your fletch. And it's surprisingly abrasive.

I use either a "Bear hair" rest if I want brown or Martin's rug rest if I want black.
