After the 09" season I was pretty sure that I was Trad for life and decided that I wanted a bow that would fit me a little better.
The search ended when I found a 56" Black Widow PTF 47# @28"

Shes a sweet shooter   :archer2:

Great journey, thanks for sharing. You have accumulated some nice nice trophies and great memories.  Looking forward to the rest.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

The next summer my boys found they joy of shooting Frogs!!

Man did this every light the fire in them!!!!

Davids first frog...

Opening day doe of 10"

Brought David along for his first blood trail!

David commented as I was gutting her " oh, I see the sausage" as I was pulling the guts out  :biglaugh:

We had a quick teaching moment.......

He took it upon himself to keep the flies away!

A couple of weeks later I took him out with me for the first itme....

Too much excitement for a little boy.....

Right at dark I heard some noise and seen a coon walking by our stand so I woke him up so he could see it, he said "shoot it Papa"    :goldtooth:

With him looking over my shoulder I shot him!

Our first hunt together and it was a memorable one that we will never forget!

That winter we went on a TG Pheasant Hunt in Southern Illinois.....

He aims....

He shoots, but its low and back.....

I did connect but it was on a bird that had flushed to a tree and I shot it straight up at about 12 yards....
