You know, I always hate it when someone starts a thread and just leaves you hanging. But since I already know the first half to this story it ain't so bad!

When you said you were going on a family vacation I thought you meant Disney World. I'm not sure how hog hunting qualifies! Lol

Where is the story?  If they don't happen within a day I ignore them, period.  It ain't worth my time to follow a thread because somebody wants to extend their time in the limelight.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Well, Crittergetter and I are back on stand. Had a great day filled with laziness and good barbecue!

I arrived at Randy's house at around 445 yesterday even and we quickly shot a few shots and headed towards the woods. He put me on his best stand. The wind was swirly all afternoon with it going from perfectly to completely wrong in a matter of seconds.  He has been showing me the pics from these stands and there has been hogs here literally every day and multiple times a day.

Shortly after him dropping me off, I get a text from him telling me their are pigs under his feeder... I'll let him tell his part.

I couldn't help but think of how UN-lucky I am. I have a joke going with my wife about how every time I go some where the animals there all the sudden stop doing what they've been doing all week.

This one was no different. The pigs had been showing up right around 740 daily and devouring all the corn.  Feeder went off at 7:25 and I went on high alert knowing the dinner bell had just went off.

7:40 rolled around.. I am on 100% full alert. Knowing my luck is about to be broken. I'm wording and waiting and time seems to roll by.. 7:45....8...8:15, I was losing faith. My bad luck had prevailed yet again!

It is just before dark, the feeder light is starting to show on the ground when all of the sudden I hear something to my left and about 10 or so pigs had ran in.  Before I knew it I was on my feet with bow in hand and had sleazy picked out my victim. A pig around #100 that was at around 8 yards.  When I drew and anchored:l, she moved and I let down. She wuickly opened up the door for the shot again at around 12 yards and I politely took it, my lighted nock flew true. It was a steep downward angle and hit her where In a location that appeared to be a well placed shot left to right but a little high.

Walt,

While I would love for you to enjoy the story, I am still enjoying my hunt/vacation. If it isn't completed in a timely enough manner, I apologize; but it is my thread.

Have a good day. I hope you'll stick this one out.
