New Java headed North
« on: August 01, 2016, 12:31:00 AM »
Got a new box in the mail just in time to head North from KS to Ontario for bear.  56" myrtle on myrtle Elkheart from Gregg at Javaman Archery.  I think it turned out pretty Purdy!
I'll update in a few weeks hopefully with my first bear pics.
Thanks to Gregg for getting it done just in time for a little practice before I leave!

I love the colors of that bow! Congrats. Elkheart's are one of the best. Good luck with it. I got a kill, my first hunt with my Elkheart.
Plant a fruit or nut tree today, and have good hunting tomorrow.

Great looking bow like all Gregg's creatures.
But what really impresses me is the forgiviness and the dependability. Good luck with that beauty.

Beautiful bow.  I've got my heart set on a Helms Deep.  Good luck with yours.

Thanks.
Matt I have a helms and it is equally as nice a shooter as my elkhearts for sure.  If your hearts set on one....pull the trigger when you can.  You won't be disappointed.

I think that's my favorite looking Elkheart so far.  Gregg keeps raising the bar.  There is a reason he's one of my favorite bowyers ever.

Just FYI...woods are from Curt at the Wood Vault.  Gregg and Curt = winning combination.

It'll probably be a while yet.  I've got three kids, 2, 6, & 8, so other priorities take precedence.  Plus I have several bows already, so I don't really have a need for a new one right now.  When I do get a chance to get a new one, the Helms Deep will be one of my top choices.
