2016 Hunting Rig Thread
« on: August 08, 2016, 09:52:00 PM »
So what are you hunting with this fall? One of my favorite threads ever year! Let's change it just a little and also mention where and what you're hunting. I'm shooting my favorite bow on this earth, a 40#@28 Omega Imperial (42 at my draw). Shooting pink Nugent blems again with Woodsmans up front.

I'm hunting whitetails in NC and Ohio, then pigs again in FL and GA. All of the above should be very much worried.

What about yall?

No need to mess with perfection. JD Berry's shelfless wonder with cedar shafts and Grizzly broadheads. Now, if the elk will just cooperate....

One of these two.  Top is my Flatwoods Custom R/D longbow, 64", 47#@28".  Gold Tip Trad 600s with 250 gr Tusker Concords up front.  Bottom is actually my wife's, but she doesn't hunt yet with trad gear, so I'm going to give it a little woods time.  It's a Hoots Custom Lil Hoot recurve, 56", 42#@28".  Carbon Express Predator II 3050s with 150 gr screwing Bear Razorheads up front.  It's a screamer.  Pound for pound, the fastest bow in my house.  Oh, and I'm in N Louisiana hunting whitetails, with the occasional pig passing through.
