I will be hitting the woods with the only bow that I personally own. It is a 1975 "Grayling Green" Bear Kodiak Hunter 50# @ 28". It is equipped with Bow Hush, Hush Puppies, and a strap on Thunderhorn BOA leather top quiver. I have 6 Gold Tip Trad 500's fletched with green and white feathers to match the bow. The arrows are loaded with 75 grain steel adapters and 125 Zwickey's that are filed sharp. I think it is a nice looking outfit. I will be hunting elk, deer, and pigs here shortly.

VooDoo Elk Riser Longbow, Walnut limbs, 62" 62#@27".  Carbon Express Heritage 350's with 100 grain brass insert and 145gn Simmons Landshark riding the front.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways-BOW in one hand-ARROWS in the other-Body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming-WOO HOO! WHAT A RIDE!

Drew a NH moose tag two months ago. Every waking moment since then has been dedicated to the task at hand. Shhh, don't tell my wife and customers.    ;)

Two bows will go on this hunt. Leadoff batter is a 1996 Dave Paxton Talon Classic longbow named "Sassy," built of sassafras for the 1996 PBS banquet. (I'm its third owner.) It is 64 inches long, draws 60 pounds and will be propelling Surewood shafts tipped with 190-grain Meathead single bevel broadheads.

Backup is a 1958 Kodiak, 60 inches and 58 pounds. The two bows will shoot the same arrows, so that's pretty handy.

Oh, and a 17-foot Old Town Penobscot canoe.    :D

I'm pretty excited about my setup this year!

This is my new PCH X Widow, 51# @ 28" with a 200 grain grizzly up front followed by a 75 grain brass insert on an axis shaft!  Should do the trick!

Same as last year...my rich emery Stik 50@28 with either arrow dynamics 400s with 125 G5 montecs or Easton gamegetters with the same head. This bow is one I'll never get rid of and will never not be able to shoot. My world turned upside down on me last year and when I was at my lowest I realized I had a custom bow by rich that was ready to ship. This bow came to me and gave me an out and a stress relief at the hardest point of my life. I own many bows but this is MY bow
I'd rather be judged by 12 then carried by 6

prairie predator longbow, 47 pounds at my draw.

400 spine carbons with 250g up front, 530 grains total for about 11.5 gpp

Shooting cutthroats and delta heads

This bow is so light I'm thinking of adding a bow quiver to the set up.
