It happened today.........Beat at my own game.
« on: August 14, 2016, 10:40:00 AM »
Today we went to a local 3-D Ken T.[KAT on here] and my wife who has only been shooting off and on for 2 years or so. Ken shot pretty good as always, and me.......I shot like a bum,   :scared:   Actually I was pretty proud of her. I set her up with a 14" Morrison ILF with Black Max limbs, 25#@25" and it fits her well. As bad as I shot it was still a great morning.

My wife out shoots me when we cold shoot .
Most every time her first arrow is on the mark .
The only way I out shoot her is after a few arrows and she starts to get tired .
But like she says " it's the first arrow that counts . "

I am sure you were just being gentlemanly.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Ron,
I went by Pine Tree on my way to Meco this morning. I wish I had known they were having a shoot because I would have stopped to say hello.

By the by, she only out-shot you if she shot from the same stakes.  See way too many shoots with "woman's" stakes.  Ridiculous.

Only 2 times did she move up......the other 28 targets she right with the boys......trust me, she beat me fair and square.

You are so lucky to have a wife who will shoot with you. Years ago I tried to get my wife interested. Her reply was "If you don't make me go to the archery range, I won't make you go to the mall". I figured that was a pretty good deal, all things considered.
