hooked
« on: August 21, 2016, 07:55:00 PM »
I'm hooked. At 45 yards I can smack a base ball 5 out 5 shots.  With my Pse Xforce. If I could do that at 15 with this sage I would loose my mind. I have had literally no ok ntredt in touching my compounds since i bought this thing. Getting properly spined arrows next week. Already have the heads. I may actually be ready to hunt by oct. If not the compounds are ready but man I don't want to use them. I been a member here since 2007. So glad I have a reason to be now

Ditch the compound and get rid of the temptation.
You won't regret it.

I feel your pain. I'm afraid I'm hooked too. My compounds are gathering dust. Every day I'm thinking more and more about selling them to pay the deposit for a spring bear hunt.

Go ahead and make the leap to full time trad. I don't think you will regret it.  Trad is an addiction that will lead to a lot of fond memories.

full time trad huh? I don't know I have a lot of money, time and history tied up in compounds. Ten again I could sell it and have bob lee, black widow and a few dozen custom rose city arrows. Or get the gear to make my own woddies. I love rifle hunting so that could be my meat source. ????   maybe????

I'm getting so much better every evening. I would hunt out too 15 right now and most shots at 20 are good. Still trying to figure out between carbons or aluminums. Either way I expect better groups with proper arrows.

Sell the compound or give it to a kid my friend...trad is an addiction, once you get the proper arrows it will make a world of difference. In my opinion stick with shots 20yards and under. To much of a chance to cripple a deer after that, its not fair to the deer. Good luck with trad and happy hunting...

I rarely shoot past 25 with my other bows. I like to get close even with my compounds.
