Dang, those are some cool pics! I can't post any though, because the only pics i have before the mid 90's are fishing. Man, I wish someone had introduced me to trad archery about 20-30 years sooner than they did!

Great pic Mike, when I started this thread, I had an old picture of Gene Wensel in mind. He's dragging a nice buck away from the camera. I'd love to see that one get posted!!    :bigsmyl:

The photo you are talking about Sean was the cover shot of Gene's first book. That's actually me dragging his buck away from the camera. October 1976. That picture also made the front cover of Bowhunter Magazine back then. It was a fluke because I didn't even know Gene took the picture as I was dragging with a little cheap 35mm camera. But everything was in focus and it came out well. Now you know the rest of the story. bw

Thanks UB, That's probably why I had it in my head that it was Gene!!  That was always my favorite picture.

Deer camp in 1958. Those big Goshhawk broadheads I was using didn't have a blade cover      :scared:    bowhunting was dangerous in those days      :D

Mid 80's. The Bighorn was my very first custom bow.

Early to mid 80's. The fella on the right is a young Mike Hays of Black Canyon Bows. We were shooting in a broadhead shoot in Timberon, NM.

I found a color picture, rabbit with a bow in 1960. The bow is a 1958 Kodiak Special, 68" 45#@ 28"
