This year I'm hunting with AD Traditional Lites with a 100 grain brass insert and WW heads. 29" arrows weigh in at about 570 grains, with heads. This combination shoots well out of all of my Massie "Longhorns" ranging from 50 to 62 pounds at my 28 inch draw.

Chundoo shafts 29" BOP, 5" Parabolics, Bohning cresting dip(saturn yellow) with a bohning index nock, and a dark walnust stain. Sealed with bohning supercoat. Tipped with my Dad's old green bear razorheads. Take my dad hunting every time I go.

6 months ago I would have said a 29" tapered poc arrow, (3) 5 1/2" banana or shiled with 140gr steelforce serrated head.
Today I'm leaning towards a GT 55/75 (3) 5 1/2" shield, 29" with a 150gr Hellfire four ( 2 regular and 2 large bleeders) blade steel force. Very Nasty combo.

I shoot a 31.5in alaskan grizzly stik. top it with a 100gr silverflame. At 612gr at 180fps this is a real force to reckon with. The stiks just fly better than any other arrow I have shot and believe me I went through a bunch of them to figure this out.

I am always expiermenting with different products--I find it more fun and exciting.

There's 24 responses to this question and I can't believe nobody asked FOR WHAT?  Is it everyone assumes everyone hunts whitetails?  I'll use an arrow/BH setup for whitetails, but a much different one for elk or bear.  With the choices we have for traditional equipment these days, it's a prudent archer who changes things to get the most efficient combo for the game he's hunting.  A guy can choose an arrow/bh combo for penetration or blood trail and have the grain weight the same.  I the '60 we didn't have these options and if we would have I don't think anyone knew enough about archery to know the diff.  OK yea, you caught me, I've taken those 100 yd shots.  We didn't know any better.
