In the spring, it is out turkey hunting in the Black Hills.  Nice south facing slope on a cool day with a slight breeze.

During September, it is always while out chasing elk in the mountains.  Best is always after a morning of vocalizations, then getting woke up by a midday bugle.  Golden aspen trees are always a bonus.

For some reason, I usually cannot sleep too well while deer hunting, but have been known to rest my eyes in November while tucked in a ground blind or hunkered up by a tree on some ridge.  I hate heights, and have never been able to sleep while off the ground in a stand.

I love my naps in elk country on the long September days.  I actually wrote an article about it that was published in the Aug/Sept 2011 TBM.  I had a few good ones last week.
