Prayers out to all y'all in the way of Hermine. FL, GA, SC,NC VA. Batten down and be safe.

I'll be at the firehouse on the SOBX through this thing. We desperatly need the rain though. Hermine is what we call a "mullet blow" here; meaning not too terrible.

Hope the FL/GA brethren are fairing alright, they probably took the good brunt of this thing

I will need hip boots to go check trail cams tomorrow!

I am on the edge, so we are just getting a much needed rain, but further south in the state they are getting a lot more rain as well as some wind damage. Good luck to those of you still in the path.

I don't think the deer will be affected by all this, so our season will start in good order. I just feel bad for those who have suffered damages.

We had plenty of rain from it when it passed by to the south last week/weekend. Deer season here coincides with the hurricane season, so it's always too wet this time of year.

The wind won't be the worst of it - the storm surge along the coast will be. Stay dry !

Tallahassee pretty well took a direct hit.  The City survived, took a fair amount of wind damage with ensuing trees down, power lines down, homes and structures with mild to moderate damage.  130,000 people without power yesterday and into today, though I think the figure has been cut nearly in half as of this evening.  I was without power from right before the storm made its main attack until around 12 noon today...36 hours no power.  Lord bless the linemen here who got a lot of us back up and running.  All I can say is 36 hours without A/C in Florida weather sucks!! I had two large limbs down at my house but our property went unscathed.  Prayers apparently helped!   ;)
