Mock scrapes what's your favorate scent

I use to make my mock scrapes with James valley gel scents(can't seem to find   :dunno:   them in stores any more) What are your favorites?

I just read a homemade recipe in an outdoors newspaper.  It includes water, ammonia, kosher salt, and Metamucil (too keep it from soaking into the ground).  Haven't tried it, but it sounds cheap enough.   :biglaugh:

I know a couple guys that just make the scrape and then just mark it with a side to side movement .
Did I mention that they drink lots of coffee before hand ?
They say it works just as good as the store bought stuff and is much cheeper .

There is a great deal I could tell folks here after about 8 years of conducting licking branch, mock scrape testing and studies I've conducted but I cant because I used to sell a licking branch scent and I am not a paid sponsor or advertiser and any videos or pics I would share would include a brand name of licking branch scent that I am NOT currently selling but will no doubt be deleted by the person here that deletes anything that even looks like it might be advertising.

dont waste your time messing with the ground below the licking branch. Focus on the branch and is you do it right, you get a REAL scrape every time. Your scrapes will appear earlier than other scrape and in a location you want them.

I've used the stuff sold with the dripper, but I've had more action with my own coffee "scent".

I use a licking branch scent, but this year the deer have been more interested in the soil (no scent) under the licking branch where I made a scrape using a branch, than the licking branch.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.
