String tracker
« on: September 07, 2016, 01:28:00 AM »
I just received my string trackers from one of our sponsors Drifters traditional archery. I want to thank chad for his fast service, excellent quality and his two nice extra leather gifts. One was a keychain, and other is a leather drink coaster. Thank you. I have a question on setup though, how do you mount it if you use a bow quiver, or do you guys just take quiver off in stand. Thanks brad

Kept saying I would get one but havnt!!!!!! if I get a chance at a deer saturday the track will be a bear - figuratively and possibly literally! - seems alot of bears in the area.

Should work just fine even with bow quiver as it mounts to the bow using the bungie cords. But I do not use a bow quiver so could be wrong.

I have a picture of one with a bow quiver on I'll see if I can find it. New PC so no guarantees, lol. I think it kind of depends on the bow and where you like to mount it. Glad you like the product and are happy with the service. Lord willing I will keep at it and come out with some more products in the near future.

I've been kicking the idea of one of these for awhile. I just ordered one. I use a bow quiver, and plan on mounting it like the above photo.

I am envious of the guys that can make them work.  For me I have never been able to get consistent flight.

I took a piece of wood about 4" long drilled a hole in it put an thread insert in it from Lowes and used electricians tape to put it on a long bow for a bear hunt. It was ugly but it worked good.
The size of the horns don,t matter
as long as it has a good tale.

I made the mistake of squeezing mine under my quiver and now 1 of my arrows falls out of the quiver after a couple of shots.    :knothead:   The next time I get a chance to shoot, I'm planning on taking it off and mounting on the other side (like in the pic above).

I think one of the keys is getting the spool shot in so there is a decent size hole in the center 2-3 shots worth for me. Personally I have never had any issue with arrow flight i have good FOC and shoot 45-55 lbs. that said I will post some videos latter of my boys shooting there sub 15 lbs boys with them on its great.
