Great buck Michael!

I was out on Saturday the whole day and saw eight different bucks. All were small bucks that I let walk except a nice 8 pt that I shot just under at 30 yards. He was moving fast going to his bed and was using another trail I wasn't hunting because of the wind. I only had a small window to shoot through. He jumped, and looked around and then slowly walked away so hopefully I'll get another shot at him. I have another stand that would have given me a 10 yard shot at him on that trail but the wind was no good for that stand.

Yesterday, I took the day off but with no wind and my scent drifting all over I only saw a couple of does and a spike on that same trail the big eight was on.

Went with my son again tonight , bleated in a wider 4 point but, he never came in so my son could shoot, it was nice to see him.

Today I hunted a new property for the third time. Earlier this week I hunted it and found a scrape line so I decided to take my climber and set up by the freshest looking scrape. After wandering around in the dark for 15 minutes looking for a suitable tree I was completely frustrated so I left the climber there and went and sat in a ladder stand I set up a month ago for my daughter. I had a standing joke with her that I was going to shoot a buck out of her stand while she was on a 4 day field trip to D.C.. Well guess what she is in D.C. until tomorrow night ,boy is she going to be mad. When it started to get light I looked to the west where there is an alfalfa field and I could see 6 or 7 does running around the field and checking there back trail. After they ran to the next wood lot I could see a buck standing in the field so I grunted at him. He turned on a dime and came straight to me from 75 yards. After shooting him I called Stoneknife(Jim) from my stand , while talking to him I looked over my right shoulder and there was a 6pt standing 20 yards from me. I could see the buck that I shot he went down within 50 yards, upon gutting him I found I hit him in the heart.
