I'll be out in the morning.  NW wind, could be perfect or my worst enemy depending on what the deer do.

I can only hunt until about 8.  I figured I would chance it because I will not be back to this spot for a  couple weeks.

Finally got out this morning,it's been too warm for my liking, and had 2 does and a button buck under the stand for awhile.Watched mom and the lil' guy nuzzle each other and when she stopped broadside at 12 yds I didn't have the heart to let one fly...at her or the younger doe.Maybe I'm getting soft,I dunno!   :dunno:

Had a doe come in tonight.  She walked right up to 6 yards on my tree and sniffed around. She knew something was up specially when she  looked up and I was staring at her. I blinked and she said goodbye.  She was big too!!  She had so.etching following  her but it sounded little In the leaves.  Good night though.

This morning was 43 degrees and still , about 10 minutes to 8 three coyotes came through and I thought the day would be lost . About 20 minutes later I'm looking right where the last Coyote disappeared and saw a white tail about 50 yards, put the glasses up and see a doe browsing so I put the glasses down and am looking at her and to see if there are any others with her when right over my right shoulder I catch movement it's looks like a huge six pointer until I see both of his G3 grew down instead of up  ! Double drop tines and and He's a mature buck that I would gladly take except he is in the worst possible  place and 15 yards from me I tried turning slowly but he got nervous and walked away as I'm watching him walk away I catch more movement in the same spot a here stands a wide 10 point he saw his patner and got suspicious and followed him away from me . Later on I saw a fat little forkhorn and smaller eight chasing a doe .  All is all a great early season morning to be in Gods creation !

Man Bob you had a great day!
No bow hunting for me this weekend took my 14 year old daughter out for the youth rifle hunt. She passed on a button buck and missed a doe due to a deflection off a branch. Doesn't take much to deflect a .243

It was windy and chilly this morning.  I only had 1.5 hours to sit and didn't even see a squirrel.

I guess your activity made up for my lack of activity Bob.  great Encounter.

I missed a big doe tonight.  It looked good... less than 20 yards.    I shot low and paced it off....... 26 yards!  I was WAY off on that one.     :banghead:   Probably won't get out again until friday.  Good luck everyone.

I shot this mature doe Tuesday morning.  She was one of 5 mature does I saw during the morning.  About a 20 yard shot with my homemade bow, 125 grain eclipse broadhead, 125 grain steel insert on a carbon express arrow.
