I'll be headed to camp shortly for opening weekend of deer season. In the morning, I'll be using traditional archery equipment to deer hunt for the first time ever. I'm beyond excited!! Thanks everybody for answering my questions and helping me get started...hopefully I'll be posting some pics soon!! I'm off for 11 days, so I'm going to try my best to make it happen. Thanks Bisch!  My daughter is really, really excited.  She has never really been all out camping or hunting, just stumping and day hike stuff.  

Hope we see some critters while out in the wild East Texas woods!

Well my first year of trad hunting has started. I hunted 3 solid days, and no animals were harmed!! Movement was a little slow, but I had a great time. It's a long season so I'm not worried. Back home for a couple days and I'll be hunting again Thursday. Learned a few little things I could have done to make my set ups better, and really learned to appreciate how light a stickbow is compared to a wheel bow when your holding it and carrying it all day!! I'm really enjoying it so far.
