Crimp on Zwickey Broadheads?... yeah apparently...
« on: October 08, 2016, 02:34:00 PM »
So on Cabela's site, someone got some Zwickey Eskimo broadheads.  It seems he bought glue-on heads, and didn't know that.

He wrote:

"It's awesome looking, but they don't have any way to attach. You have to crimp them on. It is not for the faint of heart, I would not suggest them to the un experience archer."

I laughed to myself.  Poor guy.  I don't have a Cabela's site account, or else I would leave a review to let future customers know.

I would be impressed to see him crimp them on straight, although that might just be an issue for unexperienced archers.

Obviously if he doesnt know, thats not his fault. But I think he should have been able to realize that something is missing.

So what's a Julie on head?

I could think of a few things a Julie on head could be, each more inappropriate than the last. However, probably it's an autocorrect fail. Shoulda been Glue on heads no doubt.

P.S. orginal strory is hilarious!

back around 85 I was no different than that guy,  didn't know there was different arrows for different bow weights, didn't know I couldn't shoot vanes from the shelf, didn't know about gloves so I just used my fingers, didn't know I had to sharpen broadheads thought they where pointy enough..

this is what happens when you have nobody showing you or teaching you, its called "learning as you go"  I didn't have internet back then nor did I know anyone who shot archery..

nowadays there's the internet so its easy enough with websites like this one but 35yrs ago for me I was no different than that kid I had no idea what a arrow taper was,,,, if I have one single person to thank it was Paul Brunner at screaming eagle archery, he must of hung up the phone after every time I called with all my questions and said "oh MY God" while wiping the sweat from his forehead..

hey Paul how do you get these on the aluminum arrows there's no screws coming out? --> been there done that, ha ha ha

Has to be a joke.... if one is smart enough to post a review to online, you would think one is also smart enough to Google installing Zwickey heads.
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying,

And I said, "Here am I. Send me!" Isaiah 6:8

Tajue, Im sure the guy will figure it out one day.  But like you said, he has the internet, so he should be able to figure it out sooner or later.  I hope...

I would guess it's a brilliant troll rather than a naive BH shooter.
