Double-Lunged Doe
« on: October 10, 2016, 04:07:00 PM »
It's been a slow start to the season.  I haven't seen a deer my first four sits, but that changed last night.  Had this doe come in right at dusk.  She was nervous and ended up looking right up at me (for no apparent reason)... the face-off seemed to last forever!  I stayed frozen until she finally looked away, at which point I drew and focused on the pocket.  The 12 yard shot was good...a perfect pass-through.  I watched her go down 30 yards away.   Thank you Lord!

Equipment:  Cari-bow Tuktu, 60lbs at my draw.  Homemade Douglas Fir arrows with 185grain grizzly broad heads.

Very Nice Tim! congrats. It has been slow here in the west too. I have 4 sits in, and have not seen a doe yet from the stand. Did see 2 bucks a long way away last Sunday, and not a deer seen this weekend.
