Snowshoe and Beagles

First snowshoe with my Raptor longbow. 45 lbs blew a judo through his shoulders at ten yards. Also the first kill for my male beagle.

That looks like a great time .    :archer:

One of my favorite hunting trips was to AK a few years ago to hunt Snowshoes with my bro and his beagle.  What a blast with bows.  Kind of an adrenaline rush hunting in thick cover with grizzlies around.

Brings back lots of memories as I use to hunt snowshoes with my beagle twiggy. There are few if any snowshoes left in northern Wisconsin. Probably the most fun type of hunting I had was   chasing rabbits with her in the dead of winter.

It's already rabbit season in OR?  I need to move. Hear it's been a bit windy out there the past few days...did you have to shoot it "on the rise" like a covey, lol?  A bawling pack of beagles is music to my ears.

Those are a couple of good looking beagles.
I hunt around my house in the winter almost daily.  Plus all year just chasing.
