Hello from coastal BC

Thouhgt I'd say hello to the collective after joining up today.
Returning to traditioanl archery after a 15+ year break in the days before the net. A recently passed good friend of mine got very much into traditional shooting and his influence saw me building a rd takedown longbow and changing form split fingers instinctive to three under tab gap to fixed crawl.
I was able to take a grouse on a recent trip to the Yukon and will be making a heavier bow at Christmas for, spring bear. I've made three bows so far two recurve and the longbow.
I live in BC outside Vancouver and tend to make stuff over buy it.
Very best,
Ian

Welcome, Ian! Looks you're gonna fit right in! I like your side of the world. I lived 20+ years in interior Alaska and took several trips up the Alcan highway. BC is sure a beautiful place. I'd love to hunt there.

Welcome! I've never taken any game with a self made bow, I think that would be the ultimate.
Good luck on your bear hunt.

Hello there and welcome from northern Quebec.
I really like B.C. but I haven't been there in a while - I have friends and relatives there that I haven't seen in a long time. Time goes so darn fast.
Nice bow and arrows!
