Arrow spine too weak ?
« on: October 22, 2016, 01:56:00 PM »
Hi guys,

Just checked my Arrow setup using 3rivers Arrow spine calculator, and it seems to be weak.
Never noticed that because i am accurate up to 25 yards (my max hunting distance).

I use a predator Hunter DX 51 @ 28 and i draw 28 precisely.

I use GT trads 55-75 cut at 30.75 with 100 grains insert and 125 grains magnus stingers.

Should i let it go or coorect this ? Any input ?

Best regards, M

If it ain't broke don't fix it. If you're consistent and hitting what you want with broad heads...go hunting!

I think it is unlikely that arrow is to weak for your set up. The real answer is if they fly right.

If they're stickin' where you're lookin', don't mess things up with charts and numbers!!

I think way more archers are over spined compared to understand spined. Most of those charts in my experience, have been on the stiff side

I'll second (third, fourth...) what everyone else is saying. I trust what I see and feel before the "calculator", any day.

nice.  then make sure broadheads fly with fletched and your good.       my initial thought was they would be stiff but each bow and archer are different
