New Toelke Super D on the way!
« on: October 30, 2016, 05:14:00 PM »
My 68" Super D should ship Monday. It will have Bamboo limbs, Texas Ebony riser and tips. It will be 50@28. I have never had a bow with Texas Ebony so I don't know what to expect. Anyone have any pictures of a riser with Texas Ebony? I let Dan pick the riser and tips all I cared was it had Bamboo limbs.

Super D's shoot great, I've owned alot of Hill style and mild r/d bows and the Super D is towards the top of the heap as far as I'm concerned.  Post some pics when it comes in.

This is my third super D from Dan.  I have had every model that he makes(and some cases, ones he used to make) over the years.  I got rid of my whip which is the first Toelke bow and was very blessed by a member here and got it back. Tried to get a couple of the ones I have let go over years back. I really like his D bows. I have shot a few from other makers and to me they are the most comfortable ones to shoot. I can't really explain in words how they draw other than it has a smooth gradual increase in draw weight and on release I keep my elbow, wrist and teeth in place. Some you have to grip in a way that isn't comfortable for me. Some of these might be different for other people this is just how I have experienced with these bows.

I'd love to see a strung and unstrung comparison pic when and if that would be possible for you?

Hope you love the new one.

The new 68" Super D is the best imho. Have another on the way. This version has a bit wider limb at the fades and riser than the 66" in order to accommodate the longer length. If you are a 66" super D shooter with a 28+ draw, you should really have a look at the 68.

If you draw over 28" this a must have. I could draw this to my ear and not have any finger pinch no problem.
