Arrow Cozies
« on: October 31, 2016, 04:25:00 PM »
I'm off of work today, but it's super windy and damp outside, so I didn't feel like hiking, hunting or fishing.

I decided to make some broadhead sheaths for my longbow quiver.

The lady of the house looks at them while I was stitching the last one together and say, "Those are really cool, what are they, arrow cozies?"

Umm.... Yeah... I....... I guess so........

I present to you wet formed,t  vegetable tanned, hand stitched Arrow Kozies.

EDIT: I worked out the image posting kinks now.

Thanks HellOnwheels!

I picked up a clamp on 4 arrow kwikee kwiver to try on my longbow, but I hated the plastic hood.
Now I can ditch the hood and haul 2 broadheads, and 2 flu flu blunts, and not have to fool around with that noisy plastic hood.

Nice job, they look great!

I made up several that fit real loose and tied them in the bottom of my back quiver. They keep the broadheads sharp and are easy to pull out.

Thanks everyone!
I wish I could remember who posted it, but I saw a photo of some broadhead sheaths on here, probably one of you guys.

Justin....I haven't used them in a long time (switched to a bow quiver), but when I was using a lakota quiver I would make these.  I would leave them about 3/4" long at the tip and punch a hole through them.   then lace a thong through all of them so they all stay together in the bottom of the quiver, so when you draw an arrow you don't have pop the 'booty' off.  I would carry a spare one in my pocket incase I wanted to quickly put that arrow back in the quiver without have to fish around to 'find' the empty booty.

Thanks Irish Archer, and Tim Finley!

Hickstick, I carried them this morning for the first time, and I was wishing I would've made them with a lanyard hole like you mentioned.
