How I "won" the St judes auction
« on: October 27, 2007, 08:08:00 AM »
First of all, let me say that there are many very talented people who contribute to the auction every year. I'm not one of them. So, to do my part, I always bid on several things and to the dismay of some, overbid to get the $$$$ for the kids.

This past auction, I bought the painting donated by Mr. Chris Brough. Lemmie tell you guys something, I've never been more impressed in my life.  If you've never painted, other than paint-by-the-numbers, you cannot imagine the time it takes to do layer after layer on canvas.

Those of you who know Mike Lembke will recognize him immediately.  And those who do know him, please do not forward this to him as it is a gift that he is unaware of.
I'll send it Monday.

This is the pic I sent Chris.

This is the painting.

So cool........

A BIG THANKS for a one of a kind piece of art and an extremely generous donation to St Judes!

Awesome Biggie, I'm sure he will be overwhelmed. I suspect, after this thread, the bidding will go higher next year if Chris decides to donate his remarkable talents again.

Winners all around!
Thanks for posting, Biggie, and I can't wait to hear the reaction from the surprised Mr. Lembke.

That is one fine work of art Chris poured himself into there. Heck of a gift to your friend too, Biggie, not to mention the "gift" to the kids of St. Jude! Bless you both.

Very cool Biggie!!!      :clapper:    :clapper:
To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.

Wow Biggie

That is a triple on good work, and such a great thing to do for a friend. Chris sure did a great job on the painting. Mike will be blown away by what you have done.
