noob saying hello from KS
« on: November 10, 2016, 06:11:00 PM »
I'm new to relatively new to hunting and archery.

Just wanted to check in and say hello. Been looking around a bit in last couple of days and I think I'm going to like it here.

This is only my third season bow hunting. I'm still hunting with a compound but I just picked up a Shakespeare Necedah x26 and I'm trying to get dialed in with it for next year.

I've got a good group of buddies who've been extremely helpful and patient getting me "edumacated"...though I still haven't gotten close enough to a whitetail to let an arrow fly.

I'll be out there this weekend trying to get it done.

Welcome Rocky.   Get on out there and enjoy the hunt.  Lots of talent and knowledge here.  Keep trying and it will happen.  Just learn to get it close and keep it close.

Where in Kansas are you located? I'm 13 miles out of Paola. There are a several good shoots here in the eastern side of the state for trad archers.
I would've taken better care of myself,if I'd known I was gonna live this long!

There are some really good guys in your area.  I used to shoot with some of them on the Ninnescah River. Good luck on your hunting.

Welcome from PA!  You are blessed to be living in KS.  I love it there.  Deer are born with 8 points.  Ive never had a problem seeing a big buck in KS.  I hunt around Westmoreland/Wamego.

Hay Rocky welcome to the gang glad to see you found us. Great place and a great group of guys and gals from all over. Bring your coffe cup and settle in always some good stories going on. Even better is the advise and knowledge you'll find here that is always freely shared.
Bowhunting is a passion, not an obsession. Its just hard for my wife to tell the difference sometimes.
