Thanks guys! I still can't believe the last 2 season's I've had, I appreciate all the great comments. I dropped the cape off to the taxidermist yesterday so I'll have pictures of him mounted this spring! I plan on getting something special done with him for the mount like a pedestal or something since I'm guessing I wont be killing a buck bigger than him in my lifetime.

I agree with a pedestal floor mount. With that kind of character I think eye level to really get the appreciation of what he is. Sometimes the wall can take away from that. Revolution has a new one out that I think your buck is perfect for.

first and foremost that is one healthy looking buck..some fine venison there...and alot of it !!!!

that fella will be hard to top the rest of your hunting life for scoring...but I am sure you have alot more memorable hunts ahead in your seasons to come...looks like you have a great honey hole..cherish it and good luck next year..it will be hard to find a stud like that again !!!

Thanks everyone! I had him officially scored by Buckmasters and he measured 197" even, for their record books they only count the antlers and no spread. Just the antlers scored 177 1/8" and is the biggest buck that Buckmasters has ever scored killed with a longbow! Can't wait to get him back from the taxidermist!
