We're back to the real world. Thanks for the well wishes all I appreciate it.
I was only able to make three days of the hunt this year but it was sure good to be there. Thursday I had one of those days where I could do no wrong and had a tremendous amount of action. On two different occasions I had a doe on the ground mere feet away but still no shot.
I found not one but two dead bucks near a pond so we speculated maybe some blue tongue had been in the area.
Had a bald eagle fly by my stand, that was cool.
Turkey everywhere this year, wished I had more time to focus on them but I was distracted by deer as usual.
Great group of guys and Kenny is a wonderful host as always and offers a tremendous hunt for a steal of a price. If you don't like Kenny, well there's just something wrong with you what a down to earth gentlemen.
What's happened to traditional archery anyway? I was the only guy in camp shooting wood. :D
In the end no deer were taken, Mike had a shot at a turkey the last morning. Lots of sightings, mostly does this year doing a good job of pointing out our shortcomings as hunters. :p
Already planning for next year!
