Running shot!!! I love it...Makes me want to watch my Hunting October Whitetails DVD again for the umpteenth time!. Congrats on two awesome deer and thanks so much for sharing Uncle Barry.
And I must say it's pretty dang cool and almost surreal for many of us to have our bow hunting heroes posting on Tradgang.

Barry,
Congratulations and you don't know me but a neighbor here who is getting ready to retire from the DNR was over to my house a few weeks ago to borrow a safety harness for his son who was getting ready for his very first deer hunt.
Well I knew Mark (the officer) used to hunt with a recurve years ago and he had one of your's or Genes very first books and I can't remember which one signed the book but I told him that both of you are still at it and have taken some really nice whitetails . I told him about "Woody" and also told him that you are on TradGang and visit often,
I said Barry is a really good shot and also told him about all the unexplained things that seem to happen to you especially the "light orb thing" lol.
I said to the officer why not get back into shooting the recurve I have a few bows you can try and will get a few arrows for you as well.
I'm hoping he will consider picking up the bow again but fishing has become his passion but he did say he would let me know.
The main thing that inspired him to shoot his recurve back when he hunted was the books you guys put out on whitetails and I remember in his book he had notes on paper he wrote about where and how to set up those stands etc.
He really liked how you guys were devoted to Traditional bows and shared so much valuable knowledge in your books.
I also have several really nice photos that Mike Mitten has signed and added scripture to for my daughters and showed him Mikes pics.
You guys have surely given so much to the Traditional Bowhunter's throughout the world and I commend you for what you do for us.
Your story's here, books ,videos are very inspiring to more folks then you realize.
Marks son took a nice 9 point buck on his very first youth hunt with gun but I do believe a bow will be his next weapon of choice.
God Bless all you do for so many Barry!
