Upper Peninsula
« on: December 06, 2016, 09:21:00 PM »
I was searching again for any Traditional groups in the U.P. that I might join or check out.  Be nice to get to know some others in my home range...

Didn't see anything except way down state below the bridge.  Is there interest in getting together in the area to do informal shooting etc?   I looked into this once before and had limited response...hoping to hear from more folks...

I have a small place in Ford River (Escanaba). It is a cabin and I am up there fairly often.  I would shoot if anyone is near enough.

Randy Gustafson of Northwoods wilderness Outfitters in Iron Mountain has a Traditional shoot every year in early fall. He also carrys traditional bows in his shop there in Iron Mountain.

There was a Upper Peninsula Bow Hunters organization that was mostly traditional people but I guess it went defunct

Thanks guys for the responses!  I'll keep bringing this topic to the top periodically over the winter and , perhaps, by spring I'll try and arrange an informal gathering of sorts.

I'm over in the eastern UP,Chippewa County. Not there much this time of year but spring thru fall you can usually find me up there.

I'm usually up around Marquette 3 or 4 times a year, and Grand Marais another 1-2 times per year. If you get something coordinated, it might line up with the dates that I'm up there.
