Some needed time a feild....with a arrow turned loose
« on: December 13, 2016, 10:57:00 AM »
My work life ratio for the last few years has made hunting tough. My deer and elk adventures latley have been limited to a day here and a day there. Luckly I been able to to get some late season turkey hunting. Still not a lot of time out but enough.
Over the last few weeks I been out chasing birds and helping friends and family get their birds. I have had a lot of closes calls spot and stalking and ambushing without a blind. Still no shots on the birds I wanted. I had been seeing a couple of big toms that had been able to stay just out of range. I broke down Sunday and decide to get it done a just shoot the first bird that gave me a shot. The birds came of thier roost and came though a saddle I had seen them several times this year. THey came though right were I hoped giving me a 15 yard shot out of my blind.
