Good on you! Sometimes kids just know they need a role model when theirs has walked out on them. Don't ask me how I know. It was brave of him too, you know, to put himself out there for you to help him. Hope you can continue to mentor him.

That's awesome! Glad your willing to help! I was 9 (23 years ago) when I got my first bow. I was telling some co workers the other day it was a life changing event for me!

Yes sir! I agree 100% with you. I appreciate the kind words folks but I didn't do it for "me". I did it because I enjoy getting my kids involved and this little guy seemed to be ready.
I'm certain he will be waiting for me to shoot again. I will talk to his dad next time I see him and ask if it's ok if he has his own bow and arrows.

I hadn't shot at home since that day. Been hunting out of town. This morning I went out and was shooting. Look who shows up

He talked a bunch more today. He was in my bow/hunting shop and asked tons of questions.
