Hunting Africa? Make the TBOF shoot a priority!
« on: January 01, 2017, 05:40:00 PM »
This year is the 25th anniversary of the Traditional Bowhunters of Florida.  To celebrate we have imported targets from Wildcrete in South Africa.  As far as I know, we may be the only club in North America with these targets.  If not, we are certainly one of the few.  We have ten and should have a complete range of 20 by our state championship shoot if all goes well with shipping.

Put March 3-5 on your calendar and come shoot with us!  More information will follow.

My friends, buddy and Jeff standing with a few of these ultra cool targets:

The kudu is awesome, but my favorite is the duiker.  We have Nyla and springbuck in hand.  On order we have baboon, wildebeest, Sable antelope, etc.

Neat! I really look forward to it even more than before. I missed both TBOF events last year due to shoulder surgery in February and the loss of my mother on the 4th of August. Hopefully this year will go better. I hope to see y'all in March.

How interesting that the Kudu appears to have the kill zone in the CORRECT place for African animals. Somebody knows what they are doing.  Beautiful target...I can only imagine what it cost to buy and ship

cool targets,
good point 2wfstlhunting , the african antelope kill zone is way forward than north american game- (which actually have bigger lungs- due to the colder climate!)

but gotta say that leopard's colour and spots look a wee bit odd- not that it really matters- but they certainly look more like the asian leopard( Amur leopard), the african leopard has more of a rosette spot and is more yellow!- but it doesnt really matter- they are cool!

Shot this shoot many years ago when it was at the Rocking Horse Ranch. Still try to get over from Daytona bike week every year to check out the venders and such. It's great shoot and those targets will just make it even better.

I will be there this year and look forward to putting holes in those new targets. Is there any festivities planned like a dinner?

Thanks for the interest, guys!

Greg, the complete flyer will be coming shortly.  There will not be a banquet, but there will be a food vendor. There will also be special merchandise and raffles to commemorate the 25th anniversary.

What is the location of the shoot, I am headed to Florida this march and that would be a great excuse to bring my bow with me.

need to try and get out there this year too, always seem to have a conflict with one thing or another and the years slip by over and over. Great shoot, great organization and membership. African targets or not, its a must do event.
