which bow ?

Ready to buy a new one. The hard part is deciding. I have talked with several bowyers and all have been great. I am narrowing it down to 3 choices. 68-70# @ 28 t/d recurve. Marriah, Bears paw or Zipper. How about some opinions. Thanks guys.

Thats pretty stiff competition! Any of the above would be a great choice.

First things first. Have you shot any of these bows? Have you shot any bows this high of poundage? If not, you may be making a big mistake. Not concerning the brand of bow, they are all good bows. But until you shoot one, testing the grip and feel of the bow, no one can tell you which is best. But most importantly, the poundage seems very high if you are a new person to trad bows. If you are a compound guy making the change, you are going to be in for a big surprise when you begin to practice with bows of this poundage. I can speak form considerable experience in helping new guys, 95% can not shoot a bow this heavy. At least not comfortably enough to practice and get good. If you are new, rethink the weight, consider 50lbs.

Great point. I have not been able to shoot any of these and yes the grip is most important to me.Hopefully with sending an outline of my hand and talking i can get something close as no one around here carrys any trad gear. I am currently shooting a 68# longbow and have no problem shooting it, and was a Rivers edge @ 64# before that. I am not opposed to going down to 60 -65lbs at all. Any and all advice appreciated. Thanks.
