Damascus Shooting Glove
« on: January 15, 2017, 06:36:00 PM »
Hey all, I had a Damascus glove that I have had for many many years finally worn it out. I ordered a new Damascus and it is way to thick, I cant feel the string. The new models must be a lot thicker than the original one that is an older style. Can anyone suggest a thinner glove. I mean really thin.. Thank you all..

I have a Legacy Leather kangaroo glove that I really like.  Great feel, and I shoot fingertips not a deep hook.  I treated it with a spray silicone and let it dry for a couple of days before I shot with it.  Almost looks like new, except for the dirt.  I got a medium, had read they were sized a little larger, and glad I did.  Great fit.  I've seen them at Lancaster & Big Jim's.

Duraglove from 3rivers allows great string feel and it's very durable.

I bought a new Damascus last year and it is thin.  The Bear Paw Damascus is thicker which I like but the Damascus glove is thin, matter of fact I might ship it to you free if I can find it.  It is in the package.

I have a Damascus, got it a couple of years ago... not totally sure, but I think it was from 3Rivers. It's paper thin. What size do you wear?

I got a new Damascus two years ago and it was even thinner than my previous one. I can only shoot my 40-45 pound bows with it, but it is so thin that even that hurts my fingers after a while.

I bought a new Damascus a while back as well...and its super thin. So thin that its not very comfortable...even shooting my 40# bow.

If anybody has any of the older style...with Damascus written in yellow on the wrist strap...size medium...I would gladly buy them from you!    :goldtooth:

I agree I use to love the Damascus glove it was the perfect thickness. until a few years ago I ordered A new one from 3Rivers and it was very thin almost felt like vinyl. Especially in the cold!
