New Waldrop Pac Seat ???
« on: January 16, 2017, 08:30:00 AM »
The Waldrop Pac Seat is one of my favorite pieces of equipment. Bought mine from Dave about 5 years ago.I recently saw a thread here indicating that they are still being made but have changed a bit and have some new accessories that are also available. One is a kweekie Kwiver mount. Can some post photos of the newer seats with all the bells and whistles?

I can't find anything about the seat on the internet, except for old threads. Are they still being made and is there a website? Is there a source to order them from?

Thanks

Dave Waldrop, Midland, GA 706-577-6495 cell. I think the seat is 1 1/2 inches higher>

I just sent my check in for one.  They're not cheap, but I'm young, I should be able to use it for a few decades.  I've used my Magnus Rack Pack religiously for the last 5years primarily as a hunting seat, ice fishing seat, turkey and deer....It's comfy and handy...but has long since been discontinued.  The Waldrop appears to be of similar design as far as comfort but seems like it can get closer to the base of a tree with the rear legs folding in.  I'm excited to use it this turkey season and up coming 2017 fall deer season.

They are worth every penny. Haven't heard about the changes though. I use mine all the time at daughters sporting events or going to the beach. Let people sit in it cause they are intrigued and all say how comfy it is.

This was first year using ground blind and the pac seat made some long sits pretty easy on the backside.

I love mine.......if it was 1 1/2" taller that would be a good thing with my new knees.....lol. I made a block of wood that I wired tied to the leg to mount a Kwik-kee quiver. seems work well so far. I can sit on a Waldrop much longer than in a tree stand.

Macbow, I strap a daypack to the back. I also attached a piece of plastic netting to the lower folding back legs. I fold that up when carrying the seat. I can stuff extra clothes, a ghillie and such back there while in transit. Works great.

I look at it like this. If I was a tree stand hunter it would cost me at least the cost of the package seat. Well worth the money. I've tried others but keep coming back to the pack seat.

Ron, the new seats are 1 1/2" taller. I recently ordered a new one and Dave sent me extensions so I could retrofit my old seat. I wanted to make sure I had a spare in case they no longer became available. Hope this helps.

I have two of them and I love them. I zip-tie a backpack to mine and it holds everything I need. The thing is super comfortable too. If you aren't very careful you'll fall asleep accidentally. Light to carry and pleasant to sit in. There are no new accessories, just a good place to mount a kwikee quiver. Mine works like a charm. I have pictures, but can't post them.  If one of you picture saavy gentleman want to email me, I'll send you pictures and YOU can post them here.
