I've owned my St Joe River Longbow formthree years now.  I've bought and sold probably 2 dozen other bows in that same time frame but none of them came close to the feel of my SJR.

I'll keep buying and trying because I love this hobby....But I'll probably never sell my SJR.

Robertson Quikstyk for me. Recurve would be Howatt Hunter from the 70s.

I'm very close with my fox breed. It's definitely"it" for me in a 50's style recurve. After focusing on trying many different ones without any luck that fox and I clicked the first time I shot her. But there are a few other styles of bow I'd like to get in my hands and see how I lil them for a takedown recurve and a D shaped longbow. The quest continues!

Kinda. I know what I like in a recurve and longbow, I just keep going back and forth.....in a recurve I have settled on Black Widow with an Asbell Grip. For a longbow I love Northern Mist reverse handle styles....the Whisper and Ramer.

Shooting a Blacktail T/D now and told myself it would be the one for me but somehow a 1 piece Mentor managed to catch my eye-those bowyers from the Northwest have a riser that just melts in the hand.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

Bear T/D's right now. But, Pittsley Predators are right there as well. The Bear latch system is just so convenient, but they're both great shooters.
