Of living bowhunters, I would like to hunt with Barry Wensel, Chuck Adams, and Uncle Ted.
From reading Barry's posts here, articles over the years, and seeing him in videos it's clear to me he would be a plain hoot to share a campfire with. I could learn a ton from him at the same time.
It's a fair assessment that few people know more about bowhunting & archery than Chuck Adams. Again, a guy could learn a ton from him.
I was ND State Director for Ted Nugent United Sportsmen Of America for 10 years. In that time, I got to know The Nuge fairly well, but we never got around to hunting together. Controversial? Yep. Shoots from the lip? No question. But also dedicated to the sport, passionate, knowledgeable, and fun to hang with? Take it from me, you'll be hard pressed to find another like him.
In regard to those who have passed, I have to include some that weren't primarily or only bowhunters. The list would be Teddy Roosevelt, Peter Capstick, Davey Crockett, and Paul Schaefer...
