After years of shooting carbon while drooling over everyone's custom wood arrows I finally made the jump and made some of my own. I just finished two sets of three for my dad's birthday.
I had some "help". He watched me rub them down with steel wool so he wanted to try it.
I made a cresting jig with a fan motor. No one will ever call it a thing of beauty but it worked as a prototype. Pardon the messy bench.
Fletching the first set. The bitzenburger jig was really easy to tune. Fletch tape is my new best friend.
Finished product.
Huge thanks to everyone who's posted here over the years. I took a lot of great information from the forum and I learned a lot from this process. Now 'm going to need him to break these ASAP so I can make more.
