affordable hunt

Im looking to do a hunt with my dad this year and i liv in new hampshire and was wondering where in the north east would be an affordable hunt most likely for whitetail, thanks guys

Affordable means self-guided to me. I can put you in touch with a bed and breakfast where you can hunt their 400 acres or nearby state forest. New York state licenses are very reasonable for out of state hunters and the archery season isn't crowded in the Catskills. The buck quality keeps getting better in the antler restriction areas. I forget how lucky I am sometimes being able to hunt thousands of square miles without paying a fee.  Hunting really depends on where you live

There's a guide operation on Long Island that is pretty affordable. I've never used him but I've looked at it.

Food for thought, for less than $2000 you can do a Colorado 12 day DIY elk bow hunt. That includes tag, airline, SUV rental, 2-3 nights at motel, food, etc. Or for $1200 you could drive, bring your own food, gear and etc. and have an awesome hunt you will cherish for years.

I did a long winded reply this am, but the TG website crashed. Try again.
We have done a hunt every other year since 2003.
We fly out of Boston (SWA= 2 free bags) to Denver, rent an SUV, drive west, and stay at motel at last big town. Next morning we fuel up, get breakfast, pick up food, drive up to the mountain, set up camp at end of a National Forest road, and get 2 hour hunt in. We take out our backpacks as a carry on's, each check a gear bag, share a bow case, and one 60qt cooler for camp gear. We hunt 8-9 days, break camp, and get motel near airport for two night stay. If we harvest an elk, we UPS 5-day ground ship our gear and take meat home as checked baggage and carry ons. This has averaged $1500-$2100 pp per trip total, depending on animals taken. This is for Limited draw areas or OTC areas in Colorado.
If 2 people drive out,(2200 miles) stay 1st and last nights in motels, bring own food and gear, camp, gas etc. you could plan on spending $1000-$1200 pp per round trip hunt. PM me if you need more details.

There is a stray cat around here that keeps trying kill my pet cottontail rabbit that I am feeding.  I will give you a free tag and there is no lease charge to hunt on my yard.
