First off glad to be a member of this fine site. And please correct me if posted in the wrong place.
Looking for some arrows for my first recurve you guys could recommend along with the correct spine. I prefer gold tip arrows. Currently My DL is 27" shooting compound bows. Any help would be welcomed.
67" 32#@28dl Recurve.
Thanks for your help, Doug

At 32# at your draw length you are probably looking at a 1716 or 1816 Aluminum arrow, or a 30-35 wood. Look on the 3Rivers archery web site, they carry a nice assortment of arrows and are a sponsor here.

Far from expert on carbons here, but from my experience with them for 45#ish bows.... I'd most definitely inquire about .700's.
Will vary, of course, with the length of arrow and weight up front you're looking for.

600 or 700 carbons will work fine. Depending on point weight and length you want them

If your compound draw length is 27", it is likely your stickbow DL will be more like 26, or 26.5". I got some Easton Preditors, 800 spine that shoot very well out of my lighter bows. They are relatively inexpensive for carbons and might also be a good place to start.

I purchased a Sammick Sage last summer from Big Jim for "my wife". It was #30@28 and i also purchsed 6 - 800 spined predator arrows(small diameter) with it. I draw to over 29.5 and the arrows were on the verge of being too stiff.
In my opinon, you'll need about as weak of spine as you can find. Much weaker than a 600, close to a 900 imo.
