Low profile banana cut fletching?
«

From what research I have found on Google and on here I see that the longer high profile banana cut fletching are noisey. I'm thinking of running 4" 4 fletch low pro nanas and wanted to see others thoughts. Are they quiet enough for hunting and will they stabilize a big head like the Simmons Treesharks and the Centaur Big Game heads. Also who makes and sells them?
Thanks Roy

Roy,
If you have a 5" / 5.5" Banana Chopper at your disposal, you can add an extension to your chopper fence that positions the quill further away from you (while chopping) and "up into" the chopper blade profile.
Essentially reducing the length of the feather and height of the profile at the same time.

My favorite hunting fletch is 4 1/2 inch low banana that I burn myself. They are extremely quiet, as it is the height that give them noise, not shape.

Agree with the fence addition. I am mostly deaf but think lower is quieter. You can add steerage by increasing helical, but may add a little noise

I burn all my banana fletch and my burner wire is set to give me a fletch just over 4 1/2". No problems with my broadheads with 3 fletch.

4 fletch 4" long 1/2" high bananas I cut myself, with as much helical I can wring out of my Bitz.
Best compromise for me in terms of flight quality, durability, and quiet.
