« on: February 14, 2017, 08:06:00 PM »
Do we have one yet?  Or a trail cam pic thread?

I haven't found any sheds but have some pics last couple weeks with racks proudly worn....
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Not shedding yet in Southern OK that I can tell.  Bucks still have racks in all trail camera pics.

I had a unique shed find this year.  Right side shed and about 10 yards away the dead and eaten buck with the other side still attached.  Popped right off with just a little pressure. Looked to me like he got attacked by coyotes and toward the end of the fight stumbled and knocked the one off, then got taken down for the count.  Quite a lot of blood about 20 yards away where I think the bulk of the attack took place.

Saw a buck this evening while out snowmobiling. Just a little guy, but he still had both antlers. I guess they don't weight enough to fall off. It's been a weird year. I've talked to several guys who saw bucks without antlers as early as early December. I'm not sure what's up with that. I never find sheds anyways so I guess it doesn't matter LOL

Not a shed, but a very old skull that was mostly buried in some long grasses.  He must have been a stud when he was living.

My kids and I found a nice one a couple days ago. I was amazed at how excited my 16 year old daughter got trying to find the match to it!

Haven't found any here yet, but haven't looked too much. I have pics of one little buck that dropped both sides already. I'm almost positive he was a spike that was hanging around close to the camera. All the other bucks that I had pics of still had both sides. I'll be out looking here soon though. This warm weather seems to make them hold tight longer than usual.

In four day I've seen 12 buck and a few of those P&Y none missing a side yet, here in NY we are getting a mild winter so far (knock on wood) so many be that is leading to them holding longer? Never personally found one but been out chasing rabbits and squirrels hoping to find one and keep stubbing over fully intacted bucks

Get the threads started Kenny, it's that time buddy.   :bigsmyl:

I won't start shed hunting for a couple more weeks but I know there's some on the ground already. My first buck to shed did December 17th there's always a few around then but most will be this and next month. Pulled all my cams after the season like usual and won't put them back out till 1st of June.

Getting all the mineral licks full and running and ready for the summer and shed hunting is next. Looking forward to it, had some really good ones makes it through.

Still seeing some bucks with racks last week but it's time to start. First time out on two new farms doing some scouting and horn hunting.

Last years but it's a start!

Sure liked the sign on this place!

Didn't count how many big rubs I seen and just as many huge scrapes to go with them. Loaded with turkeys to, me like!!!
