Been doing lots of walking no luck but managed to find one side of a 9 pt early I been hunting for a few years...the boys were excited!

My son and I are heading up to NW Wisconsin this weekend for a little shed hunting.  Going back to where he shot his doe last fall for a little shed hunting and meat eating over a campfire!  Even if we don't find sheds I'm hoping for a great father/son weekend with some meat & heat!

Grabbed my first of the year. A year old busted up smaller 5 point side. Ironically I found it while I was behind my house trying to find my dog who is trained to shed hunt.

I picked up 2 this morning, one of which happens to be from a 5.5 year old buck we've been after. I've got the fever now. I'm taking the wife looking on our main place we hunt tomorrow.

Found this one about a month ago, unfortunately he shed more than his antlers

Tough Shedding this year...

Walked three hours Friday afternoon without a shed and another 3 on Saturday with a little better results.....

Started off with this broken tine....


   


I thought to myself, what are the chances that ill find the antler that this belongs to    :readit:  

Sure enough, although he had rubbed it since the break there was no doubt it was the match!!!!


   


   

Sad to see them go this way, looked to be a nice up and comer......


Next was this Giant Slick Head, she must have weighed 500lbs    :goldtooth:  


   


Then we found this match set under some brush from last year


   

I seen the first one and mentioned to David that Id seen one, he charged over there and there lay the match to it about 3 steps away.


Lastly was the lone fresh shed of the weekend.


   


Goofy guy and actually I found the same side last year.


     

I think this is the fewest sheds iv ever found off this property, the mild winter has these deer using different properties I guess.....

Looks like they are dropping, I saw a decent buck Saturday nite with both sides still on tho.
