We are already anticipating the upcoming squirrel hunt at Shawnee State Park. Once again we will meet Saturday morning at the pavilion behind the park office. For more information or directions, just PM me.

I'd only gotten to go the one time...and it was a hoot! We rented some big ole house the state has on the property and ate well and tried to find spots to sleep among a myriad of beds, bedrolls and people!
Dunno what they've done the past 2 as I've been AWOL due to no work and no $$. Might work out this year if there are any going to rustle the "castle" again?

No fees....just show up.
It's a two hour drive from Pittsburgh. If coming from Pittsburgh area, take the turnpike to Somerset exit, and then take Rt. 31 East to Rt. 96 N...then it's just a mile to the park from there. We will meet approx. 7:00AM at the pavilion behind the Office, which is on the Rt. 96 side of the park. It's very easy to find.
There's a lot of huntable area in the park and we have a blast. We break for lunch about 11:30 and go back out for squirrel and small game after lunch.
Out of staters will need a three day small game license.

Hey George, am I missing something on the link? Can only find a 7 day NR small game license for $31. Would much rather a cheaper 3 day license if available......
Thanks.

Thanks for the clarification. I grew up nearby (Uniontown) and am interested if my schedule allows me to get back to PA that weekend. I miss hunting in PA. I had a camp up in Tionesta for 10 years and killed deer, bear and turkeys there.....sure miss it.
